The 21C@JC InnoTeen Power Community is launched to bring together young people from diverse backgrounds who share a passion for reimagining the future of youth services. The initiative helps youth connect with like-minded peers, inspire one another, and grow as a community. It also emphases on the three-way collaboration between youth, social workers and domain experts to brainstorm transformative ideas, empowering youth to lead with peer-to-peer passion and land innovative transformations in youth services at ICYSCS.

InnoTeen Power 1.0
Jointly launched with Voltra HK, the pilot cohort of InnoTeen Power aims to build a platform from exploration to implementation, nurturing youth into becoming change catalysts that can utilize the power of co-creation and leave a positive impact on society. To deepen youth’s understanding of themselves and the community such that they can instilling fresh ideas into ICYSCs and develop a sense of belonging, the first phase of InnoTeen Power transformed 36 21C centres into “Gyms Challenges”, allowing youth participants to travel across districts, take on gamified challenges and participate in themed workshops.
After gaining insights into ICYSCs and the community, youth participants were invited to form teams with like-minded peers and attend a creative bootcamp in the second phase of the initiative. There they partnered with social workers and sector professionals to deep dive into current youth needs and propose all new issue-based initiatives, mobilizing their creative thinking and collaborative efforts for centre implementation.
Six winning teams then recieve the opportunity for Overseas Exposure the third phase, broadening their horizons and nurturing global perspectives.

Organized a cyanotype experience workshop for university students and recent graduates in response to their downshifting needs to learn relaxation and mindfulness methods.

Introduced the “Snore Hub”, encouraging young people to listen to their inner selves, confront feelings of loneliness, practice self-care, and live in harmony with their emotions.

Developed an immersive and reflective “death experience” that provides a safe, supportive setting for meditation and dialogue on the meaning of life, guiding participants toward self-discovery and growth.

Used Larp roleplay to promote mutual understanding and inclusion between deaf and hearing youth, inspiring transformation within youth centres.

Organized soap-making workshops that fostered face-to-face interaction betweenyouth and the elderly, breaking stereotypes and bridging the generational gap.
InnoTeen Power 2.0
InnoTeen Power 2.0 is launched in partnership with NeighbourHood Innovation Lab, inviting youth aged 10–24 who are passionate about shaping innovative youth services and future sector development. Upon registration, participants automatically become community members and form teams based on their topics of interest to complete their co-learning journey. Youth who complete the first stage of the journey would then advance to become InnoTeen Fellows, receiving a HK$15,000 seed fund to design and prototype their ideas.
To further utilize the multi-tiered approach in empowering youth-led innovation and community participation, promising teams may receive a scale up fund of up to HK$100,000 to expand their impact. 2.0 also strengthens the three-way cross-sector collaboration by connecting social workers from ICYSCs with professional mentors across disciplines to merge expert knowledge with youth perspectives.
The next level of commitment supports the formation of the InnoTeen Council, where members collectively elect youth and worker representatives to lead community discussions and participate in an overseas exchange to study on youth engagement strategies, such that they can be further inspired on future directions and make well-informed decisions for the InnoTeen community.
